Prospector Podcast: Global Mining Leaders Converge in Quebec City: THE Mining Investment EVENT of the North

Michael Fox and Joanne Jobin discussed the upcoming Mining Event in Quebec City, scheduled for June 3-5. This year marks the fourth iteration of the event, which has seen remarkable growth, with a 150% increase in participating companies and an expected 20-30% rise in attendees. The conference has evolved into a global gathering, attracting international companies and investors.

Conference Quality and Student Sponsorship

Joanne highlighted the high caliber of speakers and companies involved, noting that the conference is nearly fully booked. Key features include a power panel with industry leaders, an investment panel, and a student sponsorship program. Michael praised the students’ innovative ideas and potential within the industry. Government representatives from Quebec, Newfoundland, and the U.S. are also expected to participate.

Conference Outreach and Networking Benefits

Joanne expressed pride in the conference’s community outreach initiatives, such as the She-Co and the student sponsorship initiatives. Michael emphasized how the event offers valuable insights into investment strategies, benefiting attendees. Both acknowledged that networking opportunities at the conference have historically led to successful business deals.

Quebec City Gala Event Planning

The discussion also covered the gala event, which was a standout success last year. Michael reflected on his early arrival but was impressed by its “Wow factor.” This year’s gala will feature a winter wonderland theme with a casino sponsored by Ibk and various food stations. Joanne noted the convenience of travel to Quebec City, highlighting its UNESCO World Heritage status and exceptional culinary offerings.

Quebec Mining Conference and Networking

Joanne reiterated details about the mining investment conference, including unique features like a “plus one” program for investors to bring partners and opportunities for retail investors to network directly with CEOs. A new project aims to provide snapshot reports for all presenting companies. Michael underscored the event’s competitive pricing, prime location, and diverse investment opportunities while sharing registration information for interested investors. Both expressed excitement for what promises to be a significant event in the mining sector.
