Prospector News Podcast – Phillip Gales “Sub Sea Mineral Resources are 20 Times Larger Than Terrestrial Mineral Resources”

**Editor’s note: the guest misspoke when they discussed the mineral reserves. They should have used the term Mineral Resources as Subsea minerals are not yet commercial, so reserves do not exist.**

Michael Fox is joined by Phillip Gales a Freelance Business Finance Consultant Specializing in Deep Sea Mineral Opportunities. We discuss the opportunities that lay beneath the earths oceans for acquiring critical minerals for the new Green Economy. With nearly 75% of the planet covered by water its is easy to understand the overwhelming potential to find the minerals we need under the sea. We discuss what those minerals look like, how they are harvested, the regulatory and geopolitical landscape that is yet to be drawn to make the industry a reality. We also discuss how the ground work of exploration for minerals can provide science with more data on how the Oceans work.

We have literally barely scratched the surface of the opportunity. And the limited exploration permits (no actual mining permits have yet been granted) are just a drop in the bucket.
