Ellis Martin Report – “Desert Mountain Energy and Altech Batteries Sign LOI for New Mexico” (Video)

BREAKING NEWS: Desert Mountain Energy + Altech Batteries LOI in New Mexico

A major development in U.S.–Australia clean-energy cooperation: Desert Mountain Energy (TSX-V: DME) (OTC: DMEHF) has signed an LOI with Altech Batteries (ASX: ATC) to advance a Sodium Nickel Chloride (SNC) battery plant and rare earth extraction operation in Roswell, New Mexico.

This project aligns:

U.S. brine-derived sodium chloride + REEs from Desert Mountain Energy

Altech’s proven SNC battery technology (with a $170M plant underway in Germany)

Closed-loop deionized-water systems for AI data center cooling

Zero reinjection, zero tailings, near-zero environmental impact

Local jobs and localized supply chains

A non-flammable, fully recyclable alternative to lithium-ion

Scalable potential across the Permian & San Juan basins

Special acknowledgment is due to New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and her administration—whose forward-thinking leadership and support for clean-energy innovation played a meaningful role in advancing this opportunity for the state.

This partnership offers a clean, economically sound blueprint for U.S. supply-chain resilience in battery storage, REEs, and sustainable water management.

In This Interview

Desert Mountain Energy CEO Robert Rohlfing covers:

How brine-water processing unlocks REEs and ultra-pure cooling water

Why Roswell is ideal for SNC battery production

How recent White House directives support this pathway

The advantages of sodium nickel chloride battery systems

Environmental benefits of total water-cycle utilization

Expansion potential across major U.S. basins

Next steps with Altech and state/federal agencies
