Ellis Martin – First Phosphate Hits Nasdaq: John Passalacqua on PHOS, Government Support & LFP Demand

First Phosphate Corp. (NASDAQ: PHOS) (CSE: PHOS) (OTCQX: FRSPF) (Frankfurt: KD0)  CEO John Passalacqua joins Ellis Martin following a major milestone for the company: First Phosphate is now trading on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol PHOS.

Passalacqua recently rang the Nasdaq opening bell in Times Square and discusses what the new listing could mean for institutional access, liquidity, visibility and the company’s growing presence in U.S. capital markets.

The conversation moves well beyond Nasdaq.

First Phosphate is advancing its Bégin-Lamarche high-purity igneous phosphate project in Quebec as it works toward establishing a North American mine-to-market supply chain for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.

Ellis and John discuss:

  • First Phosphate’s Nasdaq listing under PHOS
  • Institutional access to the company
  • Approximately C$21.5 million in Canadian government contributions discussed in the interview
  • Quebec fast-track support
  • Road and 161-kV power infrastructure planning
  • The upcoming feasibility study
  • Energy storage and rapidly expanding LFP demand
  • Data centers, robotics, mobility and national security
  • Why phosphate may be one of the overlooked components of the LFP battery supply chain
  • The company’s path toward a potential operating mine

Passalacqua explains that phosphate represents approximately 61% of the LFP cathode by composition discussed in the interview, compared with roughly 4% lithium — illustrating the enormous quantities of phosphate potentially required as stationary energy storage expands.
