Cartier Resources

Cartier Resources Inc. (TSX-V: ECR) (FSE: 6CA) (OTCQB: ECRFF) is a Quebec-based gold exploration and development company focused on advancing the Cadillac Project in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. Cartier controls a 100%-owned land package extending approximately 15 kilometres along the prospective Larder Lake–Cadillac Fault Zone, positioning the company to pursue a district-scale gold camp east of Val-d’Or, Quebec.

Projects

Cadillac Project

Cartier’s flagship Cadillac Project is located approximately 45 kilometres east of the Val-d’Or mining camp in Quebec. The project comprises the historic Chimo Mine and the East Cadillac property, which Cartier consolidated in 2022. The combined land package covers approximately 15 kilometres of the Larder Lake–Cadillac Fault Zone and is held 100% by Cartier Resources.

The project includes 12 contiguous claims covering 334.44 hectares at the Chimo Mine property and 537 contiguous claims covering 26,315.98 hectares at East Cadillac. The property hosts 19 gold-bearing structures, including a past-producing mine at the centre of the project.

Cartier’s current mineral resource information presented on its website includes:

  • 720,000 ounces of gold in the Indicated category.
  • 1,633,000 ounces of gold in the Inferred category.
  • The resource is hosted within 19 gold-bearing structures.

A 2023 Preliminary Economic Assessment, based on a gold price of US$1,750 per ounce and a CAD/USD exchange rate of 0.77, reported a post-tax NPV at a 5% discount rate of CAD$388 million and an internal rate of return of 20.8%.

Cartier is advancing a 100,000-metre drill campaign planned over three years. The company states that approximately 75% of the drilling is intended to extend known gold zones and test isolated high-grade intercepts, while 25% will target new discoveries identified through structural interpretation and artificial-intelligence-assisted exploration.

The company has implemented VRIFY’s AI-Assisted Mineral Discovery Platform, known as DORA, to analyze geological, geochemical and geophysical information across the property. Cartier says the resulting VRIFY Prospectivity Score is being used to prioritize exploration targets and guide drilling.

Cartier’s website highlights several high-grade drill results from gold zones across the Cadillac Project, including 173.5 grams per tonne gold at VG10, 26.2 grams per tonne gold at Portal and 44.7 grams per tonne gold at Bluegrass. The company states that mineralization remains open in all directions.

Wilson, Fenton and Benoist

Cartier has entered into an option agreement with Exploits Discovery Corp. for the Wilson, Fenton and Benoist gold properties. Under the agreement, Exploits has a four-year exclusive option to earn a 100% interest in the three projects.

The consideration payable to Cartier includes:

  • CAD$1.75 million in cash payments.
  • 9.25 million common shares of Exploits Discovery.
  • CAD$12.25 million in exploration and development expenditures.

Cartier has received an initial CAD$200,000 cash payment and 1.75 million Exploits shares. If Exploits exercises the option on any of the properties, Cartier will retain a 2.0% net smelter return royalty. The royalty consists of two 1.0% NSR components, redeemable by Cartier for CAD$2 million and CAD$20 million, respectively.
