(TSX:BAR) (OTCQX:BALMF) is pleased to announce that Balmoral’s exploration team have been recognized as the “Prospectors of the Year” in the Province of Quebec for their Bug Lake and related gold discoveries on the Company’s Detour Gold Trend Project. The award was presented last evening at the annual AEMQ awards ceremony in Quebec City, Quebec.

The Bug Lake Gold Trend now stretches for over 1,000 metres and remains open in multiple directions at shallow depths. The Bug Lake Gold Zone, and related sub-zones, continue to exhibit high-grade gold mineralization and form one component of the evolving Martiniere Gold System on the Company’s wholly owned Martiniere Property. Located 45 kilometres east of the Detour Gold Deposit, and a similar distance north of the producing Casa Berardi Gold Mine, the Martiniere System is centrally located within the Company’s 600+ square kilometre Detour Gold Trend Project within the northern segment of the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt.
