Arizona Gold and Silver new Director Yale Simpson sees major upside at Philadelphia Project

Arizona Gold and Silver new Director Yale Simpson joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss his decision to move from advisor to board member and why he believes the company’s Philadelphia Gold Project in Arizona has the potential to become a significant discovery.

Simpson, who has worked closely with the company on communications and strategic messaging for several years, said his long-standing relationship with CEO Mike Stark and growing confidence in the project made joining the board a natural next step.

Drawing on decades of mining industry experience, Simpson compared the Philadelphia project to a high-grade gold discovery he helped advance in Argentina earlier in his career. That project was eventually sold to a major mining company for US$440 million and has since become a producing mine within Pan American Silver. According to Simpson, the similarities between the two projects are striking.

He described Philadelphia as “the same beast,” noting that the key to unlocking its value will be continued drilling and investment to fully define the size and extent of the mineralized system.

Simpson highlighted the dramatic increase in exploration activity underway at the project, saying the pace of work is significantly higher than at any previous stage. Current drilling programs are advancing aggressively, and the company is actively evaluating the addition of a second drill rig to accelerate exploration and resource growth.

A major point of validation for the project, Simpson said, is the recent strategic investment by Evolution Mining. With a market capitalization of approximately A$30 billion, Evolution is one of Australia’s leading gold producers and not typically known for investing in early-stage exploration stories without extensive due diligence.

Simpson noted that Evolution’s investment was completed at a premium to market prices, which he believes reflects confidence in the quality of the jurisdiction, management team, and the long-term potential of the Philadelphia project. In his view, Evolution’s involvement suggests the company sees the possibility of a much larger gold system emerging through continued exploration.

With drilling expanding, additional rigs potentially being added, and support from a major mining company, Arizona Gold & Silver is positioning itself to aggressively advance the Philadelphia project and evaluate its full discovery potential.
