Arizona Gold and Silver Inc (TSX-V:AZS) (OTCQB:AZASF) (FRA:A9J0) senior vice president of exploration Dr Lex Lambeck joined Proactive’s Stephen Gunnion to discuss the latest drilling results at the Philadelphia gold-silver project, where three new holes have extended the continuity of the high-grade Perry Zone and increased confidence in a coherent, vertically continuous gold system.

Two holes have now been drilled beneath the 156, 157, and 158 elevations where the highest-grade Perry Zone intersections were previously recorded. Assays from those deeper holes are pending, and Lambeck says the results will show whether the high-grade component continues at depth and whether the system has been tested deeply enough.

A CSAMT (controlled-source audio magnetotellurics) geophysical anomaly identified beneath Red Hills is interpreted as an altered, clay-rich, steam-heated zone sitting directly above the high-grade zone. Lambeck says results from holes 172 and 173, which have been drilled through it, will help define the broader bulk-tonnage potential of the Red Hills component of the Philadelphia system.

On the operational side, the switch to 24-hour drilling has already doubled productivity, and the company is sourcing a second drill rig that Lambeck says would take productivity to four times its previous rate. With 16 additional drill pad permits secured and cooler months ahead, the team also plans further fieldwork to validate hyperspectral targets across the property, with plans to expand drilling both north and south.
