As the week begins we are reminded that on January 22, 1992 Roberta Bondar became the first Canadian woman in space when she was launched as part of the crew of the Space Shuttle Discovery.

 

 

Monday January 22

 

On Monday morning we note the merging of the craft beer industry with the cannabis industry as

Abattis Bioceuticals Corp. (CSE: ATT) (OTC: ATTBF) and Faculty Brewing Co. a Vancouver-based craft brewery ammounced plans to develop a hemp-infused, cannabinoid-rich, THC-free craft beer.

 

Vancouver payment company Glance Technologies Inc. (CSE: GET: CN) (CSE: GET.WT) (OTCQB: GLNNF) (FKT: GJT) granted Fobi Pay Technologies Inc. a non-exclusive license to use the Glance Pay mobile payment, security, antifraud and Glance Coin blockchain technology for a $5 million.

 

 

 

Tuesday January 23

 

 

Crypto Blockchain company, NetCents Technology Inc. (CSE: NC) (Frankfurt: 26N), is announces that the integration into the Poynt Smart Terminals has been completed and beta testing will be finalized over the next week. As of February 1, 2018, the NetCents Technology platform will be available to all Poynt Terminal retail merchants.

Knalysis Technologies “Knalysis”, a subsidiary of Canada House Wellness Group Inc. (CSE:CHV) announces that it now has more than 12,000 medical  cannabis patients on its software platforms representing 6% of the registered base in all of Canada. As patient count in the Knalysis platforms continues to increase by approximately 2,500 per month,it is now seeing the impact of having big data at its fingertips.  This informationis critical to breaking away from anecdotal evidence of the efficacy of medical marijuana. Knalysis is also gaining traction with several potential new cannabis clinic clients which would add another 10,000–20,000 patients into its platforms by mid-year,adding10s of millions more data points for the benefit of its analytics subscribers.

 

 

 

Wednesday January 24

 

 

GreenBank Capital Inc (CSE: GBC) (OTCMKTS: GRNBF) (FRA; 2TL) announces that it has acquired 19% of Kabaddi Games Inc a Canadian company that owns all rights, title and interest to a mobile application game based on the Kabaddi sport. The sport of Kabaddi is the second most popular sport in India, after cricket, attracting 430 million television viewers during the 2014 inaugural televised season of the Pro Kabaddi League. The sport of Kabaddi is a cross between freestyle wrestling and rugby that tests speed, agility and power.

Armada Mercantile Ltd (CSE:ARM) through its wholly owned subsidiary Armada Group USA, Inc. has acquired 30% of the issued and outstanding common shares of California Financial Lending company Oxygen Funding, Inc. Oxygen Funding provides capital to fund existing clients, purchase existing accounts receivable portfolios and finance new factoring opportunities sourced, underwritten and serviced by an in-house staff. 

 

 

 

Thursday January 25

 

 

HealthSpace Data Systems Ltd. (CSE:HS) (Frankfurt:38H) announces that it intends to release its alpha prototype, testing blockchain based quality and safety audits with industry partners in Q1 2018. This will include cannabis production, the food service and hospitality sectors and various government agencies.

 

The prototype will be used to demonstrate how HealthSpace’s next phase of technological advancement will benefit both public and private sectors alike. HealthSpace intends to create a blockchain based network that supports commerce between government regulation and private business providing direct, trusted and immediate interaction to facilitate increased efficiencies and reliability of business transactions. Creating a decentralized network which allows for third party quality and safety audits to be chained to government inspection, verification and oversight, will allow for completely transparent and rapid commerce, in addition to boosting consumer confidence.

 

 

Data Deposit Box Inc. (CSE: DDB) (OTCQB: DDBXF) (Frankfurt: 2DD), is pleased to announce LiveLink Web – a patented,  web based remote device management software that does not require a Virtual Private Network. Medical Cannabis company  THC BioMed Intl Ltd. (CSE: THC) closes a $1 Million private placement. The proceeds will be used to fund its ongoing applications to provincial governments to operate licensed dispensaries for legal marihuana and the expansion of the Company’s business and facilities.

 

 

For the week the CSE Index down a hair from 1551.06 to 1546.39.
