The Opening

As the week begins we are reminded of Canada’s greatest contribution to manned space exploration the Space arm. It was first deployed on November 13, 1981 from the Space Shuttle Columbia.

The Canadarm will be used on more than 90 missions during its 30 years of reliable service.

In total, five Canadarms will be built and delivered to NASA.
