Historic mid-terms continue to cause market ripples in the US and in Canadian markets to a lesser extent. Investors are faced with the same questions as Florida voters: when can we get off Mr. Trump’s Wild Ride?
Meanwhile north of the border, Canadians celebrate the 151st anniversary of the first sitting of Parliament. On Nov. 6Th, 1867, John A. McDonald’s Conservative government had just one the very first Canadian election, and they set about opening the country for business.
If only they could see what we’ve done with the place since.
November 5th
Beleave Inc. (CSE: BE) announce a seven-for-one share split of the Company’s issued and outstanding common shares. Each shareholder of record of the Company as of the close of business on the Record Date will receive six additional shares for each share held on such date.

Stem Holdings Inc. (CSE: STEM), a cannabis real estate company specializing in acquiring and improving properties within the cannabis industry has received a license from the State of Oregon for its newly constructed cannabis facility in Springfield, Oregon.
The 28,000 square foot property will provide 10,000 square feet of space dedicated to
sustainable, indoor cannabis cultivation.

Idaho Champion Gold Mines Canada Inc. (CSE: ITKO) has completed the purchase of 822 federal US mining claims in four blocks (approximately 6,871 hectares) in Lemhi Idaho from American.
The Company believes that the Idaho Cobalt Belt represents the premier district for primary Cobalt discoveries in North America. The region hosts a rich endowment of mineral resources only beginning to be unlocked due to recent exploration activity driven by the price of Cobalt.

Planet 13 Holdings Inc. (CSE: PLTH) celebrated the grand opening of the world’s largest cannabis dispensary.
The Planet 13 Superstore offers a unique and awe-inspiring experience for visitors from around the globe. The 40,000 sq. foot entertainment complex features interactive attractions and 16,500 square feet of cannabis retail space with 42 registers to serve the 2,000 customers on a daily basis.
As guests approach the complex they are greeted by 13, 15-foot-tall LED lotus flowers on the roof of the building. Made of acrylic leaves and metal stems, the lotus flowers can be controlled by visitors, making them an interactive piece of art. The control panels sit near the sophisticated outdoor water feature that uses vibrant LED lights with fog to create a glowing effect which can be seen from the 65,000 hotel rooms that look directly onto the Superstore location. Customers can explore these features before heading into the lobby, which is home to the interactive, sensory-activated LED flooring. The attractions continue once guests move inside the main portion of the complex where they’ll view a recurring, glowing aerial orb show high above the dispensary floor. Additionally, visitors get to leave their mark on the interactive art wall, allowing them to create unique writings and drawings. Finally, the 3D Projection Visual Experience mesmerizes guests by projecting 3D visuals onto the ceiling.
It’s like the Disneyland of pot!

Ascent Industries Corp. (CSE: ASNT), a licensed producer of cannabis located in Maple Ridge, B.C., and Simon Fraser University’s plant biologist Dr. Zamir K. Punja have made a number of exciting discoveries and continued developments in cannabis research that enhance operational excellence and consumer product quality.
“The intent of this project was to develop a better understanding of the production methods for cannabis that would lead to better quality product for consumers” says Dr. Punja.
One of the outcomes of this research is a DNA‐based testing kit to distinguish male plants from female plants which is currently available on the market.

The Overall
The CSE had been steadily rising since just before Halloween, opening Monday the 5th at 905.80. Peaking mid-week at 937.59, the market began a downward trend which continues to the time of this writing, closing Friday at 866.65

We’re pleased to see our American friends making small but significant moves towards legalization.
The midterm elections passed medical cannabis ballot proposals in two states this week, including legalized recreational pot in Michigan. While it’s a far cry from nationwide recreational legalization, Utah and Missouri decided patients should have access to medical marijuana and joined many other states with the adoption of comprehensive medical marijuana programs.
The tally is now at thirty three states plus the territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Mariana Islands and the District of Columbia who have the option to prescribe cannabis for specific conditions.
How long before we can buy a Trump branded pre-roll? I’m guessing legalization might be one of the last things he does on his way out of office. Can’t you just see the packaging already? It’ll be the one with all the gold…
