This Week on the CSE Nov 12th through Nov 16th

By Christian Granholm

This week in Canadian history!

Nov. 13Th 1981, the Canadarm, a robotic space arm developed by Canada, is successfully deployed for the first time, outside the Space Shuttle Columbia.

Designed to deploy and recover various objects in space, the Canadarm, Canada’s most famous robotic and technological achievement, will make our country a vital partner for NASA and the International Space Station.

The Canadarm will be used on more than 90 missions during its 30 years of reliable service.

In total, five Canadarms will be built and delivered to NASA.

Almost 40 years later and relations between the two greatest nations on earth are strained as Trudeau and Trump face-off across our shared border.

We hope things get back to normal soon – as when we work in partnership we can build great things.

Nov 12th

Planet 13 Holdings Inc. (CSE: PLTH)  launches TRENDI; ultra-premium disposable vape and concentrate product line aimed at the 55 million tourists visiting Las Vegas every year.

Utilizing state-of-the-art hydro carbon extraction technology further refined by fractional distillation, TRENDI delivers an exceptionally high potency product.

So what you vape in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Nov 13th

International Battery Metals Ltd. (CSE:IBAT) has three pieces of news.

Firstly, they join with Sorcia Minerals LLC to announce License Agreement for lithium extraction technology and appointment as exclusive equipment and services supplier.

Second, they announce completion of phase 2 of engineering on their mobile extraction system.

And thirdly, they filed a strategic patent application for extraction and production of high purity lithium products in the United States.

“True Leaf Launches Hemp-Based Cat Treats”

Ha, I just love that header – it’s truly like we’re living in some alternate movie universe.

True Leaf Medicine International Ltd. (CSE:MJ) a plant-forward wellness brand for

pets and their owners, announced it has added seven hemp-based products specially formulated

for cats to its True Hemp™ product line, to be available in pet stores and online across Europe.

The new products for cats include five hemp-based treats and two hemp toys. The innovative

treats have a crunchy outer shell and a soft inner core with hemp.

Nov 14th

THC BioMed Intl Ltd. (CSE: THC) announces that it has received a Cannabis Act

and Cannabis Regulations License from Health Canada on November 8, 2018. This is the new license under the Cannabis Act and it allows THC to grow, produce and sell cannabis products

on a large scale under the new regime.

THC also announce that Clone Shipper, its wholly-owned subsidiary, has received a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office regarding THC’s patent application

for the invention of an illuminated shipping container for live cannabis plants.

THCnow has three months to conduct a final review of its patent application, file any necessary

amendments, submit the formal drawings and pay the Issue fee.

The Notice of Allowance is not a grant of patent rights but a notice from the Examiner that

the Application is being allowed.  In addition, due to the high demand for their cannabis products, THC has completed its fourth shipment of cannabis products to the Province of B.C. Its previous three shipments have sold out since launch day on October 17, 2018.

Nov 15th

Versus Systems, Inc. (CSE:VS) which has built its Winfinite platform on the Elixir

technology stack, expands its presence in the Elixir community, promoting the primary

programming language used to build its scalable in-game prizing platform.

The Elixir programming language that powers Versus’ Winfinite prizing platform is the next generation of scalable, reliable, available technology that was first designed to promote carrier grade services for telecommunications networks – the same type of highly available, scalable systems that allowed WhatsApp to support the traffic of over 400 million global users with fewer than 40 engineers. With the technology, originally developed by Ericsson to run their high

-traffic telecom switches, the Versus engineering team can build  performant systems with uptime guarantees rivalling those developed at a much greater expense by much larger teams.

Far Resources Ltd (CSE:FAT) commences fifth round of drilling at its Zoro Lithium

Project, solidifies its potential to become a major North American lithium source.

Starting ahead of schedule at its 100% owned Zoro Lithium Project in Manitoba, where it is completing a twenty one hole programme focusing on both existing discoveries and new targets. Three holes will be drilled to complete metallurgical test studies.

Nov 16th

Harrys Manufacturing Inc. (CSE:HARY) has signed a sales and distribution agreement cigarette sales in both the Asia and European markets.

Some may question the moral ambiguity of selling potentially harmful products overseas – look at Canada’s asbestos industry – but others argue if the product sells, then we should make a profit.

And Harry’s is poised to make a tidy one.

The agreement is currently for two years and allows for the delivery of up to 10 shipping containers of Harrys private label cigarettes per month destined for over 700 convenient stores and other strategic customers.

The purchase price set at $185 per case, each full shipping container (1,000 cases) sold

will generate Cdn $85,000 in gross profit.

The Overall

The week opened at 845.72 and closed not far below that at 817.15. The trend towards long, rolling dips and rises continues in a predictable, steady manner.

New Listings

The CSE welcomes the following new listings:

Harvest Health & Recreation Inc. (CSE:HARV)

Acreage Holdings, Inc. (CSE:ACRG.U)

MJardin Group, Inc. (CSE:MJAR)

DeepRock Minerals Inc. (CSE:DEEP)

Ovation Science Inc. (CSE:OVAT)

CannaRoyalty Corp. (CSE:OH.DB)

Always Be Closing

It was a great week overall –  the rolling trend continued at a predictable pace; several new cannabis companies came online and existing firms posted exciting new gains in patents, licences and agreements.

Several American states are calling for full legalization and it looks like they’ll get there soon.

As we head into the tail end of 2018, consumer confidence is strong, holiday shopping is already ahead of trend and the market is an exciting place to be right now.

Here’s hoping that 2019 is everything we think it will be.
