After Brian Mulroney’s retirement, Kim becomes a de facto shoe-in for Prime Minister – Canada’s first female in the role.

Asante Gold Corporation (CSE:ASE) notes that Ghana has overtaken South Africa as the largest gold producer in Africa, producing some 4.8 Moz in 2018.
Ghana’s production is set to increase again with the imminent re-start of the Anglo Gold Ashanti Obuasi mine (66 Moz global gold resource) with an annual production target of +350koz.
Asante is continuing to evaluate the new disruptor’SMD mining technique for application at Kubi. SMD is a large bore precision drilling method that enables direct mining of narrow deposits. The SMD method is being developed and commercialized by Anaconda Mining Inc. in collaboration with Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Anaconda has announced a ’proof of concept’field trial at one of their deposits in Newfoundland, targeting to start up in late August/September with the trial lasting around two months.
MGX Minerals Inc. (CSE: XMG) and Eureka Resources announce signing of a definitive Joint Venture Agreement which outlines a new strategic partnership.
The newly formed JV will initially focus on fast tracking deployment of the world’s first commercial rapid lithium recovery system at Eureka’s state-of-the-art Standing Stone advanced wastewater Treatment Facility near Towanda, Pennsylvania.

Western Uranium & Vanadium Corp. (CSE: WUC) has assembled the personnel and resources to open the Sunday Mine Complex.
The first underground work is expected to commence in June. After mine opening, vanadium ore samples will be delivered to vanadium processors and users around the world.
Historic geological and mining data, as well as mine maps from past operations are being studied, while the team completes final ventilation requirements. Western will start the Project at two mines – the Sunday Mine and the St. Jude Mine.

Zanzibar Gold Inc. (CSE: ZBR) is in negotiations for an option earn-in agreement to acquire a 100% interest subject to a royalty in favour of the proposed property option in the Fakawi Gold property in North-central Tanzania.
During exploration work programs completed in 2012, several gold bearing veins were observed that have spawned several areas of placer gold mining by the local residents. Sampling to the west of the main valley following up on a soil sample of 310 ppb gold by a small trench revealed a quartz vein that assayed 40.70 grams and 57.99 grams (approximately 1.2 ounces and 1.7 ounces respectively) across a 1 metre width.
Sunniva Inc. (CSE:SNN) agrees to sell its Okanagan Falls property to CannaPharmaRx for $20 million.
SMI owns the Sunniva Canada Campus,which includes construction assets for a planned 759,000 square foot greenhouse located on an approximately 114-acre property in Okanagan Falls, British Columbia.
Exro Technologies Inc. (CSE: XRO) report the architectural design of its Intelligent Energy Management System has been completed addressing the important relationship between the electric motor and the lithium ion battery.
Exro’s system targets energy usage between lithium ion battery cells and the electric motor, to improve performance and realize savings. Stillcanna Inc.(CSE:STI) announce that favorable weather conditions and above average temperatures in Poland is having a positive effect on its current hemp crop.
“There is a shortage of both CBD and good biomass in Europe,” stated Jason Dussault CEO of Stillcanna.
Hemp, unlike many other crops, thrives in a hot dry climate and Poland has been experiencing warmer than usual weather. The Company’s agricultural experts at Olimax in Poland are anticipating harvesting more biomass from its 1,500-hectare crop than previously expected. Originally, the Company anticipated harvesting 250 kilograms of dry flower per hectare, but the Company now expects to harvest 350 kilograms of dry flower per hectare.
