Resourcing Tomorrow Launches 2026 Agenda: Beyond the Echo Chamber – Turning Talk Into Action

Resourcing Tomorrow announces the launch of its 2026 agenda, centred on the theme “Beyond the Echo Chamber: Turning Talk Into Action.” At a time of growing global complexity, the event will focus on how the mining and resources sector moves from discussion to delivery.

Resourcing Tomorrow has long championed the voices that challenge convention, those willing to question how mining, energy, technology, and capital must evolve to meet the demands of a changing world. As Steve Jobs once said, “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels.” The future of resources will be shaped by those prepared to rethink how the world is resourced, not those who remain within traditional boundaries.

“The industry has proven it can talk. Now, the focus shifts to execution.” Said Nick Rastall, Portfolio Director

The convergence of the energy transition and electrification, rising defence spending, supply chain reshoring, and the rapid expansion of digital infrastructure and data centres is transforming the industry. Each is capital-intensive, policy-driven, and unfolding over decades. Alignment across miners, investors, OEMs, governments, and end-users is essential, and at the heart of this year’s event.

Resourcing Tomorrow 2026 will examine how the industry moves from awareness to outcomes, focusing on what enables delivery: investable policy frameworks, resilient supply chains, scalable technologies, responsible production models, and capital allocation aligned with long-term priorities.

The 2026 agenda will explore a set of interlinked themes designed to drive implementation:

  • The Geopolitics of Critical Minerals: National Security, Mineral Independence, and Value Addition
  • From Dialogue to Delivery: Bridging the Execution Gap
  • Who Gets To Define What A Strategic Mineral Is?
  • Sustainability 2:0: Applying Disruptive Thinking to Reimagine Mining Processes
  • Disruptive Solutions: Embracing Innovation And AI to Transform the Mining Industry
  • Mineral Sovereignty: How Can The Industry Build Resilient and Secure Supply Chains
  • Deploying Capital Across The Mining Value Chain

By convening miners, investors, governments, and innovators, Resourcing Tomorrow connects policy with projects, capital with capability, and innovation with measurable outcomes, accelerating technology adoption, strengthening project readiness, and enhancing operational performance.

New & Expanded Features:

  • Innovation Hub: A new feature for 2026, showcasing technologies across exploration, processing, automation and sustainability. The Hub will feature live demonstrations, immersive experiences and direct engagement with technology providers and start-ups
  • Houses of Parliament Breakfast Briefing: Opening London Mining Week, this session brings together government representatives and industry leaders for discussion at the centre of UK policymaking.
  • Government Roundtable: Returning for its fourth year, this closed-door session convenes ministers, policymakers and senior industry leaders to focus on turning policy into action across critical minerals, supply chains and investment.
  • Leadership Roundtables: Closed-door sessions under the Chatham House Rule, designed for senior decision-makers to engage in focused, practical discussion on shared challenges across the value chain.

Returning Event Highlights:

  • Mining Pitch Battles: A live investor-facing competition where companies present their projects across multiple rounds, culminating in a Grand Final.
  • Next Generation Programme: Connecting students with the mining sector through conference sessions, exhibition engagement and networking opportunities.
  • Country, State and Province Pavilions and Seminars: Dedicated spaces highlighting regional projects, expertise and investment opportunities, alongside a programme of focused seminars.
  • Gala Dinner and Awards (3 December): Bringing the industry together to recognise achievement and celebrate contributions across the global mining sector.

Resourcing Tomorrow 2026 brings together those responsible for delivering the next phase of the mining sector, connecting capital, capability and policy to support project development and long-term supply.
