Prospector News Podcast – Chris Temple “The Fed Could Follow China down a Rabbit Hole of Rate Cuts to Devalue the US Currency”

On location at the Current Trends in Mining Finance Conference put on by the NY Chapter of the SME, Michael Fox is joined by Chris Temple of the National Investor. We discuss the effects that Chinese policy could have on the Fed, Geopolitics and Western economies going forward from here. Chris believes we run the danger of a tit for tat devaluing of currencies and tariffs as China tries to assert itself as the low-cost manufacture of choice for the world. We are seeing some of this now with the Biden administration putting new tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles and other goods and the Chinese gov’t putting an export ban on rare earth processing technologies as well as battery manufacturing technologies.
