Julie Lucas: Female Leadership Means Playing Dual Role as Leader Minority
Julie talks with Lynnel and explores the ideas of safety building culture and inclusivity and the supportive leadership energies that make it real. In the discussion, both women explore and apply the idea of safety at work supporting a diverse work culture; and that no single person is “diverse” but adds to the mix that makes a workplace culture stronger. Julie delves into a deeper consideration of the effect of community on the mining safety culture at work. In a similar fashion as the leaders, she so respects have done-and still do-Julie constantly challenges her own perspective with the awareness of her dual membership as a leader at work, and a minority.
