Gregor feels the transition to electric vehicles will continue and that China will begin to dominate the space. The cost of batteries continues to decline, and there will be a point where electric cars will be cheaper than combustion ones. Battery technology continues to evolve and will need greater amounts of nickel, which is in relatively short supply. Gold and silver are in a quiet period at the moment, which is an excellent time to buy. The reasons for holding gold for protection continue. Investors need to be careful if they are storing gold that they have a full claim to those assets. A lot of investors are unsecured creditors to banks which carries significant risk.
