StrikePoint Gold CEO Mike Allen discusses the company’s acquisition of the Northumberland Gold Project from Newmont for a transaction valued at US$70 million. Allen explains that, as part of the company’s due diligence, StrikePoint compiled a modern pit-constrained mineral resource using data from approximately 197 kilometres of drilling across 1,554 drill holes. He states that the resulting resource includes approximately 2.7 million ounces of gold in the indicated category and 1.57 million ounces in the inferred category. Allen also notes that Northumberland is a past-producing mine that historically produced about 250,000 ounces of gold during the early 1980s.
