Resouro Strategic Metals Corp

Resouro Strategic Metals Inc. (ASX: RAU) (TSX-V: RSM) (OTCQB: RSGOF) is a Canadian-based mineral exploration and development company focused on discovering and developing critical mineral resources in Brazil. The company is advancing high-value projects in prolific mining districts while emphasizing environmental stewardship, community engagement, responsible practices and transparent governance.

About Resouro

Resouro’s primary focus is the development of economically viable mineral projects in Brazil, led by its flagship Tiros Titanium and Rare Earth Elements Project in northern Minas Gerais. The company also holds the Novo Mundo gold project in Mato Grosso, providing additional exploration and development exposure to gold.

Resouro’s strategy is to unlock the potential of critical mineral projects and transform exploration success into shareholder value. Its leadership team combines experience in mining, project management, feasibility studies, finance, corporate governance and Brazilian mineral development.

Projects

Tiros Project

The Tiros Project is located in the state of Minas Gerais, one of Brazil’s most established mining jurisdictions. The project comprises 28 mineral rights covering approximately 497 square kilometres and is 90%-owned by Resouro through its wholly owned Brazilian subsidiary, Tiros Minerais Estratégicos Mineração Ltda.

Tiros hosts a JORC Mineral Resource Estimate of approximately 1.9 billion tonnes on a total measured, indicated and inferred basis. The company describes it as the largest known JORC rare earth elements and titanium resource in Brazil. The project’s current resource includes 1.4 billion tonnes in the measured and indicated categories.

The reported average grades include:

  • 4,000 parts per million total rare earths oxides, or TREO.
  • 1,100 parts per million magnetic rare earths oxides, or MREO.
  • 12% titanium dioxide, or TiO₂.

An ultra-high-grade domain contains 103 million tonnes grading 9,100 parts per million TREO, 2,400 parts per million MREO and 23% TiO₂. The resource contains valuable magnetic rare earth elements, including neodymium, praseodymium and dysprosium.

Exploration and development potential

Resouro reports that 144 holes have been drilled across 7,695 metres. The maiden resource covers only approximately 7% of the project’s tenement area, leaving substantial scope for resource expansion through further drilling and exploration. Step-out drilling up to 35 kilometres from the Central Block resource has also indicated that the Tiros trend may extend beyond the currently defined resource area.

Metallurgical testwork is underway using samples from the Central Block. Resouro reports encouraging results from representative Tiros ore samples, including potential extraction of up to 96.2% for high-value magnetic rare earth elements.

The project is situated in a region with established road, rail, power and water infrastructure. Resouro states that sealed roads and highways serve the area, a 500-kilovolt powerline crosses the project area, and a railway is located approximately 60 kilometres from the project. Deep-water port access and a qualified local workforce are also identified as strategic advantages.

The company’s stated near- and medium-term development activities include:

  • Infill drilling to support mine planning.
  • Additional metallurgical testwork and flowsheet design.
  • Environmental impact assessment and ESG initiatives.
  • Ongoing mine permitting activities.

Novo Mundo Gold Project

Resouro’s Novo Mundo Gold Project is located in Mato Grosso’s Alta Floresta Gold Province, also known as the Juruena–Teles Pires Gold Province. The company characterizes the project as a porphyry-style gold system with multiple ore shoots and high-grade results, offering exploration potential and future development options.

The project covers 16,734.94 hectares, or approximately 167 square kilometres, through three contiguous licences fully owned by Resouro’s Brazilian subsidiary, Ison do Brasil Mineração Ltda. The town of Novo Mundo lies within the licence area.

The project is located approximately 30 kilometres west of Guarantã do Norte and 740 kilometres from Cuiabá, the state capital. Access is provided by the paved BR-163 highway, with farm tracks servicing much of the property. Regional airports at Sinop and Alta Floresta are within approximately four hours by road, while nearby towns provide accommodation, banking and equipment-supply services.

Previous exploration at Novo Mundo included terrestrial and airborne geophysics, geochemistry and exploratory drilling by RJK Resources, Rio Tinto Zinco, Graben Mineração SA and Nexa Resources. Resouro has compiled the available historical information to guide the next phase of advanced exploration. The company’s development concept involves using a scalable trial-mining permit and potentially advancing toward mining and processing through a hub-and-spoke model.

Critical Minerals

Resouro’s Tiros Project is focused on titanium and rare earth elements, which are used in a range of industrial, technological and energy-related applications.

Titanium minerals, including ilmenite, rutile and anatase, are sources of titanium dioxide, an important ingredient in pigments, coatings and plastics. Resouro identifies construction, automotive and consumer goods as key demand drivers, while aerospace, defence, medical and industrial applications support demand for titanium metal. Emerging applications include energy storage, additive manufacturing, hydrogen infrastructure, marine equipment and electric vehicles.

The company’s Tiros resource combines titanium dioxide with rare earth elements, including magnetic rare earths that are important to advanced technology and industrial supply chains. Resouro believes the project’s scale, grade profile, exploration upside, metallurgical potential and Brazilian infrastructure position it to contribute to the supply of critical minerals.
