Visionary Metals Corp.

Visionary Metals Corp. (TSX-V: VIZ) is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on discovering new critical and precious metal deposits in the Western United States. Through a Strategic Exploration Alliance with Teck Resources Limited, the company is advancing nickel, copper, and platinum group element (PGE) projects across its 40-square-kilometer land package in Wyoming’s Granite Mountains.

In 2022, Visionary made Wyoming’s first nickel sulfide discovery at its King Solomon project, establishing the state as an emerging nickel frontier. The company’s exploration strategy centers on an Archean greenstone belt in the Granite Mountains—a geologic setting known to host nickel, copper, cobalt, and gold.

Strategic Partnership with Teck Resources

Visionary’s cornerstone asset is its Exploration Alliance Agreement with Teck Resources Limited (via Teck American Incorporated), one of the world’s largest copper miners. Key terms of the alliance include:

  • Initial Equity Investment: In August 2025, Teck purchased 17.4 million Visionary shares at $0.07 per share (C$1.22 million total), acquiring a 9.9% equity stake.
  • Exploration Funding: Teck has committed approximately C$3 million in equity and non-dilutive funding for geophysics and drilling through 2028, with additional technical services.
  • Option to Increase Interest: Teck may elect to fund exploration on priority properties (King Solomon, Tin Cup, Diamond Springs) to earn up to a 70% majority interest by spending C$6 million on King Solomon or Tin Cup and C$4 million on Diamond Springs within three years of designation.
  • Matching Grants: Subject to third-party grant funding, Teck may match up to C$0.5 million in equity to fund follow-up work including drilling.

In July 2026, Visionary was awarded US$250,000 in energy matching funds from the Wyoming Energy Authority to support its exploration activities.

Corporate Presentation

Projects

Visionary’s Wyoming portfolio spans ~40 km² along a 100-km nickel trend in the Granite Mountains. Priority prospects include:

King Solomon Nickel Project

  • Discovery: Wyoming’s first nickel sulfide discovery (2022–2024).
  • Geology: A 1 km by 600 m mineralized ultramafic structure with district-scale potential.
  • Drilling: Broad zones of mineralization were intersected in the 2023 reverse circulation (RC) drilling program.
  • 2026 Plans: A 3,000–5,000-meter diamond drill program is planned to test high-priority electromagnetic (EM) conductors identified by ground and airborne surveys.

Tin Cup Nickel-Copper Project

  • Target Size: A 4.3 km long by 150 m wide nickel target identified at surface.
  • Mineralization: Ultramafic rock outcrops at surface; rock chip samples returned up to 5.6% Cu, 0.06% Co, and 0.2% Ni.
  • Geophysics: Strong correlation between surface gossans (oxidized metal), soil anomalies, and a subsurface geophysical anomaly indicating possible nickel sulfide at depth.
  • Potential: Described as a geophysical “look-alike” to King Solomon but a bigger geologic structure, targeting magmatic copper, nickel, cobalt, PGEs, and possible gold in adjacent schist and banded iron formation.

Diamond Springs

  • Status: Information on this prospect is forthcoming; it is part of the same 40 km² land package and alliance framework.

Slipstream Copper-Gold-Silver Project

  • Jurisdiction: Spans tier-one mining jurisdictions in Utah and Nevada.
  • Focus: Exploration of high-grade orogenic gold and porphyry-style copper-gold-silver targets.
