American Lithium

American Lithium Corp. (TSX-V: LI) (OTCQX: AMLIF) (FRA: 5LA1)  is developing two advanced-stage lithium projects in the Americas, together with one of the world’s largest undeveloped uranium projects. The company’s portfolio comprises the TLC claystone lithium project in Nevada, the Falchani hard-rock lithium project in southeastern Peru, and the Macusani uranium project in Peru. The company trades under the symbols.

American Lithium’s strategy focuses on developing scalable projects in Nevada and Peru, which the company describes as mining-friendly jurisdictions. Its projects provide geographic and geological diversity while supporting the company’s objective of contributing to a secure and sustainable supply of lithium, uranium and other strategic energy metals.

Corporate Presentation

Project Portfolio

TLC Lithium Project — Nevada

The TLC Project is a near-surface lithium claystone deposit located approximately six miles northwest of Tonopah in Nevada’s Big Smoky Valley. The company describes TLC as a “Made in America” lithium project that may be amenable to low-cost and sustainable mining methods. The project is close to paved roads, electricity, water and skilled labour, and is approximately 3.5 hours by road from the Tesla gigafactory.americanlithiumcorp

The company’s February 2025 mineral resource estimate reports 6.17 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent in measured resources, 2.39 million tonnes in indicated resources and 1.44 million tonnes in inferred resources. The resource is located above the water table, and American Lithium states that water rights have been secured for the project. Baseline studies also confirmed that no species or habitat protected under the Endangered Species Act are present within the project area.americanlithiumcorp

The TLC preliminary economic assessment outlines a 40-year mine plan producing approximately 1.46 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent, with average life-of-mine production of approximately 38,000 tonnes per year. The base case estimates an after-tax NPV8 of US$3.26 billion, an after-tax IRR of 27.5 percent, an after-tax payback period of 3.8 years and initial capital expenditure of US$819 million, based on a lithium carbonate price of US$20,000 per tonne.americanlithiumcorp

The company also presents an alternative case that includes magnesium sulfate by-products. Under that scenario, the after-tax NPV8 is estimated at US$5.16 billion, with an after-tax IRR of 36.0 percent and an after-tax payback period of 3.7 years.

Falchani Lithium Project — Peru

Falchani is an advanced-stage hard-rock lithium project located in southeastern Peru. American Lithium describes it as the sixth-largest hard-rock lithium deposit in the world and emphasizes its location in what it considers a geopolitically favourable jurisdiction.

The project’s updated preliminary economic assessment was published in February 2024. The base case outlines a scalable 32-year mine life producing battery-grade lithium carbonate, followed by an additional 11 years of stockpile mining with average production of approximately 44,800 tonnes per year. The company reports an after-tax IRR of 32.0 percent using a lithium carbonate selling price of US$22,500 per tonne and an estimated payback period of three years.

American Lithium states that the Falchani resource estimate is based on approximately 30 percent of the target area, leaving additional exploration potential. Regional targets include Quelcaya, Tres Hermanas and a broader interpreted collapsed-caldera setting. Metallurgical testing has indicated that conventional processing can produce lithium carbonate with purity exceeding 99.5 percent.

Macusani Uranium Project — Peru

Macusani is an advanced-stage uranium project on the Macusani Plateau in southeastern Peru. American Lithium describes the project as one of the world’s largest and lowest-cost undeveloped uranium deposits and as a potential source of strategically supplied energy materials in the Americas.

The preliminary economic assessment mine plan includes approximately 70 million pounds of uranium oxide at a 289-parts-per-million grade and proposes average production of more than six million pounds of uranium oxide per year over a 10-year mine life. The company reports a post-tax payback period of 1.8 years and an IRR of 40.6 percent at a uranium price of US$50 per pound.

Macusani includes five near-surface deposits in the preliminary economic assessment mine plan and has more than 47 additional exploration targets around the existing defined deposits. American Lithium is also evaluating tank-leach and pre-concentration options that could potentially improve recoveries, shorten leach cycles and reduce processing requirements.
