Camino Minerals Corp

Camino Minerals Corp. (TSX-V:COR) is a discovery-oriented mineral exploration company. The Company is exploring for high grade copper and precious metal projects, primarily in the mining friendly regions of Peru and the United States. Camino believes that shareholder value is best created through identifying and shepherding mineral prospects into resources that can be marketed to producers.

Camino was formed in connection with Goldcorp Inc.’s C$300-million acquisition of Canplats Resources Corp. The transaction closed February 4, 2010. Canplats shareholders received, for each Canplats common share, C$4.60 in cash and 1 share of Camino, which listed April 22, 2010.

Canplats discovered the Camino Rojo gold project, located in Mexico and 50-km to south of Goldcorp’s Penasquito, in 2007. In less than one year’s time, Canplats had outlined 3.44 million ounces gold and 60.7 million ounces silver in measured and indicated resources with additional inferred resources of 0.55 million ounces gold and 7.6 million ounces silver. In late 2009, Canplats was the subject of a bidding war between Goldcorp and Minera Penmont (a company jointly owned by Fresnillo and Newmont), which Goldcorp subsequently won in a deal worth more than C$300-million.

Los Chapitos is a new high grade copper discovery made by Camino in 2017. The project is located approximately eight hours south of Lima via the Pan American Highway and is accessible by a 15-kilometer road near the coastal town of Chala. The discovery hole was 106 meters averaging 1.30% copper and a fully funded 20,000 meter program of diamond drilling is currently underway. Work to date has identified six zones of copper mineralization on the 7,700 hectare (30 square mile) property.

Lost Cabin Gold/Silver Project – U.S.

The Lost Cabin property is located in southern Oregon on the northwest extension of the Nevada Basin and Range Province. An undeveloped epithermal gold-silver system outcrops on the property and grab samples of up to 38 grams of gold per tonne have been assayed. Camino has already identified drill targets and the project has been permitted for drilling.

Plata Dorado Project – Peru

The Plata Dorada Project is located in the eastern Andes east southeast of the city of Cusco. The 1,800 hectare (seven square mile) property is wholly owned by Camino and except for the company’s work, no modern exploration has been undertaken on the project area. Camino has identified two zones and the mineralization is structurally hosted, polymetallic quartz-sulphide veins averaging 0.5 meters to 1.5 meters in width. Chip sample assays have ranged from 0.3% to 8.7 % copper, 70 grams per tonne to +1,500 grams per tonne silver, and trace to 2.1 grams per tonne gold.
