As the short week of Thanksgiving begins, we are reminded that on October 9, 1867 in the city of Québec, 164 physicians hold a historic meeting to establish the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), founded to empower and care for patients. Charles Tupper will be elected the CMA’s first president.

 

 

Tuesday October 10

 

Premier Managed Services Provider, VirtualArmour International Inc. (CSE:VAI) (Frankfurt:3V3), announced today it had finalized a three year contract for the expansion of network cyber protection and managed services with an existing client in the financial services sector.The expanded contract has a total value of USD$800,000 over its term.

GLOBAL HEMP GROUP (CSE:GHG) (FF:GHG) (OTC:GBHPF) an industrial hemp and cannabis corporation, and Marijuana Company of America, Inc. announce they have jointly entered into a letter of intent with Space Cowboys, Inc. for the purposes of forming a joint venture.  Space Cowboys is an existing fully licensed and compliant hemp derived cannabinoid producer in Colorado. Pursuant to the terms and subject to the Companies obtaining sufficient financing, the Companies will invest US$2.5 Million in exchange for a 25% equity interest in Space Cowboys. The investment funds will be used to expand Space Cowboys’ cultivation operation

 

 

Wednesday October 11

 

 

 

MOBI724 Global Solutions Inc.) (CSE: MOS) (OTCQB: MOBIF), a FinTech leader offering integrated EMV payment, Card-Linked Offers, Digital Marketing and Business Intelligence Solutions, entered into an agreement with Visa, a global payments technology company, to provide Visa clients a suite of integrated Loyalty Solutions, including MOBI724’s Card-Linked Offers & Rewards, Digital Marketing and Business Intelligence Solutions through the Visa Loyalty and Offers Platform in Latin America and the Caribbean.  As part of their agreement, MOBI724 will help expand the development of Card-Linked Offers and Integrated Loyalty Solutions to Visa’s merchants, acquirers and issuers in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The of closing of Tranche I of Imagin’s recently announced and oversubscribed Private Placement further advances the Company’s on-going development plan. Investors in this Private Placement include urologists Dr. Stan Swierzewski, Chief of Surgery & Director of Urology at Holyoke Medical Center in Massachusetts, and Dr. Roger Buckley, Division Head of Urology at North York General Hospital in Toronto.

Preferred Dental Technologies Inc. (CSE: PDT) addresses the growing digital dentistry market. Prototypes for EAS have been successfully created in multiple materials

PDT’s Evolutionary Accessory Series  is used to create custom dental abutments for the growing dental implant industry. Currently, CAD/CAM dentistry is a field of dentistry and prosthodontics using CAD/CAM to improve the design and creation of dental restorations, especially dental prostheses, including crowns, crown lays, veneers, inlays and onlays, fixed bridges, dental implant restorations, dentures (removable or fixed), and orthodontic appliances.

(CSE:EPY) announced a partnership with Advertiise to deliver advanced location-based mobile Augmented Reality advertising for brands. ePlay’s subsidiary, Mobovivo, is developering advanced Augmented Reality Advertising capabilities for the company’s Sports Game Engine through the partnership with Advertiise. The new ad engine called, AR Ad Kit, will be powered by Advertiise and Mobovivo. Advertiise is adding AR advertising to its existing online marketplace.

 

Together the companies are adding the ability for brands to create dynamic, context, context, and location-aware ads for mobile games and customized advertising campaigns. The companies have been testing the new functionality with Apple’s recently announced ARKit – a new platform built into the recently announced iPhones and iPhone operating system (iOS).

Friday October 13

 

 

 

The Canadian Bioceutical Corporation  (CSE: BCC) (OTC:CBICF) announced that through its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary CGX Life Sciences Inc., has entered into a definitive membership interest purchase agreement dated and effective October 11, 2017 to acquire 99% of the membership units of GreenMart of Nevada NLV, LLC an award-winning licensed recreational and medical cannabis cultivation and  production and wholesale business located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Completion of the transaction is conditional on the approval of the Nevada Department of Taxation.  

 

 

“This is a great acquisition at an attractive valuation, positioning us well in the burgeoning adult use market in Nevada, and we anticipate GreenMart to be accretive in the current financial year,” stated Scott Boyes, President and CEO of BCC.  “To meet the strong demand in the local market, we are increasing cultivation and production capacity.  Our partners at MJardin are moving into the facility, providing important operational capacity, as well as introducing new cultivation techniques to increase yield.  Furthermore, upon positive conclusion of our trial program with RotoGro in Arizona, we anticipate implementing this higher-yielding and low-cost technology in our Nevada facility towards the end of the year.”

 

 

Global UAV’s  (CSE: UAV) (OTC: YRLLF) (FSE: YAB2) wholly-owned subsidiary NOVAerial Robotics Inc. has started discussions on agreements to become an authorized reseller of remote sensing equipment. The advancements are focused on multi-spectral, Lidar and EO/IR sensors. This will allow NOVAerial to offer fully integrated high-end sensor packages as turnkey solutions for its customers. The sensors are widely used in the security, environmental, agriculture and natural resource industries. 

 

 

Global UAV’s President & Director James Rogers states “The Global UAV team projects there will be an increase in demand for security specific UAV’s equipped with thermal and optical sensors. Long before Europeans settled in North America, festivals of thanks and celebrations of harvest took place in Europe in the month of October. The very first Thanksgiving celebration in North America took place in Canada when Martin Frobisher, an explorer from England, arrived in Newfoundland in 1578.
